I was born and raised in Moscow, Russia where I spent my early years traveling with my mother in the Moscow Circus.  I have also appeared on television, film and theatrical productions.

In 1976, my family immigrated to New York City. At the age of seventeen, I started studying ballet with David Howard and later at Balanchine’s School of American Ballet (SAB) with my step-father, Andrei Kramarevsky, former principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet. My other teachers were Stanley Williams and Richard Rapp at SAB and, while on tour with Sophisticated Ladies in Moscow in 1988, Assaf Messerer at the Bolshoi Theater.

In 1981, I danced in SAB’s annual workshops with the New York City Ballet in The Tchaikovsky Festival.  My other ballet theater credits include; Malmö State Theater in Sweden, the Connecticut Ballet Theater and other companies.

After making a leap to the Broadway stage, I continued my dance education in jazz with Chuck Kelly, Michael Owens and Tony Stevens.  I also studied acting with Charles Kakitsakis in New York City.

My theater credits on Broadway and in national and international tours include: Teddy and Alice, where I played young Franklin Roosevelt. On Your Toes, with Natalia Markarova and Valentina Kozlova.  Zorba with Anthony Quinn.  Woman of the Year, appearing opposite Barbara Eden. Ain’t Broadway Grand, Sophisticated Ladies and Hello Dolly.

In 1998, after directing and choreographing numerous industrial shows and commercials, I began working on new theater projects and created my own company tressorgroup with my friend and producer Nolen Bailey.  The company has received critical acclaim from The New York Times, The Village Voice and numerous Russian-language media publications.

In 1998, I was invited to host a nightly radio talk show for WMNB Ethnic American Broadcasting Corporation.  Good Evening New York became one of the highest rated talk shows on Russian radio.  I was also a play by play announcer of the New York Rangers hockey games from Madison Square Garden.

These days, I teach ballet (and occasionally jazz) in the United States, Europe and Russia.  My teaching credits include New York University, Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Ballet Academy East, Broadway Dance Center, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Steps Studios in Manhattan.  I am a frequent Guest Ballet Master at the National Opera Theaters in Zagreb and Split in Croatia and National Theater in Kosovo. I currently teach at multiple schools in the greater Greenville area, and am a resident choreographer at International Ballet.

I have choreographed several plays directed by Alexander Lippard, including: Happy End,  Peer Gynt,  the Dog Musical and Sake with Haiku Geisha.  I also worked with the Russian-American Theater Group on Absolutely Happy Village, a play.

An evening of my new works entitled, Nema Splita do Splita, (There Is No Town Like Split), premiered at the Croatian National Theater in Split in 2003.

My play The Party Pooper, based on my autobiography, The Single Speed of Life, was presented at The American Living Room Festival at HERE Arts Center in New York City.

In 2011, I was selected to be the Cultural Envoy of the American Embassy in Kosovo.
